Empowering Individuals in the LGBTQI+ Community with Disabilities
This webinar will provide an educational opportunity to learn about how to support individuals in our LGBTQI+ communities. How to ensure their rights to care/services, respect for the person; and the challenges society creates for the LGBTQI+ population. Understanding a person’s HIPAA rights to privacy and how this is impacted when living in a congregate care setting. (Pending 1.5 CEU/NCG-Pending 1.5 MCLE credits)
About the presenter:

Len Meyer, MHSA, is the Downstate Community Engagement Manager for Planned Parenthood of Illinois and is an Adjunct Instructor at Lincoln College in Lincoln, IL. Before working at Planned Parenthood, they founded the Central Illinois Pride Health Center in Bloomington. Len is committed to the health and equality of the LGBT community of Illinois. Len has both undergraduate and master’s degrees in Health Care Administration Services.
